Ontraport is our all in one system that is the brain of the business. Sales, marketing, and accounting use it for different reasons. Ontraport takes the pain out of having to have multiple places to pull in data from. We use the dashboard to see where we are at every day. Instead of trying to make 8 different products talk to each other we use Ontraport and it gives us a clear picture of the business.
  • Dashboards for our daily stats.
  • The email follows up and broadcasts are simple and easy.
  • Sales and marketing can now see the impact they have working together. Nobody can point finger anymore.
  • They have the best customer support. I can't tell you how many times they have walked me through the problems that I created.
  • Amazing email inboxing.
  • CRM could be better. It works but is not as robust as I would like. It works fine but I want more reporting.
  • The membership plug works fine but I want more details on what each member does and how they use the membership. I am sure I could find that but its not easy and I don't have time.
  • I don't really get the hang of the landing page builder. But that's me vs them.
Starting a business you have enough stuff to deal with. Ontraport takes the headache out of the tech side. Everything works together and you don't ever get left alone to figure things out. I would beg any new business to invest in Ontraport. Or if you want to grow and scale an existing business it would be great. I think it more for service-based business.
  • Its have been a great investment. We stayed with them for over 5 years.
  • Fast support is great. We don't waste time on chat when a 3 min call can fix it.
  • The real value is the support and everything just works as one system.

They are all different. HubSpot is great but doesn't have the checkout and sales tools. Active Campaign Rocks, but it doesn't have sales and checkouts. Infusionsoft has everything like Ontraport but the support is not where it should be and you have to invest in 3rd party addon to make it work.

I use Ontraport to gather leads & lead them through content nurture sequences. I also use it to sell offers, and use their membership plugin with my WordPress site to host my membership content & give the right people access to the right things.
  • Tracking numbers & data and displaying them to you.
  • Segmenting really well & opportunities for more segmenting.
  • Seeing contact history.
  • Making things a little more intuitive. It's a huge tool, and sometimes if you don't know exactly where to click & what to click on, you're SOL.
It works really well for a person like me who has one small business, but with multiple sides to it. I can easily use Ontraport to market to both sides & manage the crossovers well where they happen.
  • It's really helped me get my marketing funnels in order & cleaned up.
  • It's given me more ideas on what to implement for greater ROI.
  • It's helped me ensure client leads aren't falling through the cracks.

All my contact database is stored in Ontraport. The combination of landing pages, lead magnet delivery, nurture sequences and autoresponders plus advanced contact tagging means that I don't need anything else. I am still learning how to get the most out of this but I can see however advanced of a funnel you want to build, it can be built here. For lead gen and e commerce I fully intend to stick around and just get better at this product. Less confusing that 'confusionsoft' more advanced than mailchimp, less intimidating than sendgrid etc. I love it.
  • Create a lead gen funnel from lead magnets, landing page, email sequence quickly and as custom as you want
  • Landing page builder really works, good combination of fast and easy plus customisable
  • There is heaps of training material and a lot of articles but perhaps some more video step by steps would be good.
  • Overall it's great not much to change!
If you are a consultant or service business looking for a sales funnel system and contact database this will suit you. If you are into online sales and e-commerce it will work well too.
  • At least 30% uptick in my service business due to strong reliable delivery of lead magnets building authority
  • So much potential for more as I have just bought a couple of traffic websites and will be getting way more focused on my funnel in 2017

We use Ontraport throughout our organization. It is our email marketing solution and our customer relations management solution. It manages internal tasks and allows us to expertly measure every aspect of our marketing and sales. It integrates wonderfully with third party software/programs and has been an asset since we stated using it over a year ago.
  • Email Marketing. Ontraport is outstanding. The control that we have over the content, the delivery, the experience that we can provide for our prospects and clients is second to none as far as I am concerned.
  • Tracking. Everything is measured, compared, tracked, recorded and stored. The mountain of data that is available allows us to instantly see what is working and what isn't, and this saves us time and money.
  • Customization. I have mentioned the control that we have in email marketing, but that is true in everything.
  • Support. The team are always there for me. True I may have a problem outside hours, but the knowledge base, videos and Users Community are always there with a solution.
  • Ontraport is a very powerful and robust system capable of a great many things. The time it takes to get to know the program is a little intimidating. Don't get me wrong, you can get started right away, but a year in I know I am still not making the most of all Ontraport can do. I am UK based so access to their advanced trainings means international travel, maybe some online events could be initiated.
Due to the complexity of Ontraport and the size of the monthly subscription it isn't ideal for a solopreneur just starting up. Having said that, when you are ready to start using their system, the team at Ontraport made the transition very smooth and safe. I was transferring years of business and data from several different systems over to Ontraport and felt very secure the entire time.
  • We are providing better customer service as a direct result of Ontraport. We can track where all of our customers are, what pages/sites/modules they are visiting with ease and tailor our communication accordingly.
  • Our marketing funnel has become vastly improved, meaning that our ROI for marketing has gone up. Sales this April are double what they were last year.
  • Our team works better together because we all have a better idea of what the other needs and when. The tasks that we can assign in Ontraport mean nothing gets missed, creating a better customer and employee experience.

Ontraport is capable of more than MailChimp and AWeber, both of which I would consider beginner systems. It is also easier to use and understand initially than Infusionsoft, and takes less time to get off the ground when you make the change. It is capable of very complex tasks but the user interface is simple and the tasks are easy to construct. It takes away my worry and pain, that reason alone is enough to recommend them!
It works well and they have great service and support.
